Yukon Leaves Socrafice has been thrust upon the altar.
They are on the blog and they even have a bit of red in them, too. Whoot! Now for the charity knitting for animal shelter. My vet takes them to Arizona.
....A KnitAlong for those who have over-indulged in yarn and fiber to repent in their ways of excess and share their abundance with others.

And then on to the cuddler. I think I'll start another cuddler right after that and definitely get the trekkerXXL socks cooking along. I'll post pics late tomorrow on my blog. KC this has been fun. Thank you!
Okay, I have been hatraficing, cardificing, ponchoficing, but my poor widdle sockrafices are languishing in my knitting bag.
For some reason, socks just haven't managed to make it onto the needles the past week or so. On the other hand, two hats for The Ships Project and another for myself, all out of stash leftovers, seem to have appeared on my knitting stand. Thus the title on this post. How's everyone else doing? Are we having yarn shop withdrawal symptoms yet?
Okay, having determined that current stash is ALL sock yarn, and most of it from (ahem) Paris, I felt that a Lenten one-time splurge was necessary. I am crocheting baby blankets for the preemies at the local hospital (at least that's what I think the project is, it might be boarder babies). I picked up the "Pound of Love" ball of hugeness yarn in that lovely aqua green at A.C.Moore during their 1/3 off yarn sale, and I'm halfway through a darling baby throw. Then, I went back (shame!) and got yarn for two more projects, along with instructions. And if it takes me beyond Lent to finish them, I will. This is almost as much fun as knitting socks!
The last time I could make it to Knit Night Mistress Kelley taught me how to make a Turkish toe. The time came to pick up stitiches around the square and I couldn't undo the provisional cast on. Silly me ripped out the whole thing and started reading some of the million other things I found on toe-up socks. I found what looked like clear directions on the Net; Wendy's Toe-up Sock Pattern. Then I read Twisted Sister's Sock Workbook and Simple Socks. I learned how to do a cool provisional cast on with a crochet hook but I'm throughly confused about the rest of it. The Wendy's pattern looks like hourglass toes but I'm doing something wrong with the short rows. Maggie Righetti was no help either. I think it's time to go back to the Turkish toes.
